Overview

PicoLands is a top-down open-world adventure with procedurally generated worlds and pixel art inspired by early Atari adventure games, Noita, and Falling Sand. Every run places you in a fresh world spanning nine distinct biomes — meadow, woods, dark forest, plains, desert, tundra, jungle, mountains, and ocean — each with their own enemies, weather hazards, materials, and secrets.

Gameplay

Fight with stamina-driven melee weapons, ranged attacks, and elemental rune magic: fire, ice, lightning, water, and wind. Keep hunger, thirst, and stamina in check between fights. Craft gear at a workbench, till soil and tend your crops, cook over a firepit, and smelt ore at the forge. Progression dungeons gate biome power orbs and recipe sheets; an underworld layer hides beneath the overworld, twice as dangerous and rich with ore.

NPCs give oracle main quests and fetch tasks, with AI-driven dialogue freshly generated each run. Multiplayer is built in from the ground up.

Pre-Alpha Status

This is an early access build — rough edges, missing content, and frequent updates are part of the deal. Expect breaking changes between versions.
